Announcing Two New Film Projects!
April 29, 2007
Cubit Productions is officially announcing two projects currently in production. The first project is a feature length comedy code-named "Flying Monkeys" (FM). This project is very early in pre-production, and will most likely not start filming until 2008. FM is a straight comedy with a dramatic twist (a dramedy), unlike our first film (Beneath the Mask), which was a mockumentary. While we have a good outline for the story created, we are still in the process of fleshing out the script and creating detailed character profiles. In addition, we hope to raise funds for this movie so we can approach it with a decent budget. It's been two years since the Premiere of "Beneath the Mask", which took us on a wild ride we never would have anticipated. Now, we feel we have finally landed on the right project to follow BTM. We love this story, and we're sure many of you will also. More about "Flying Monkeys" will be revealed as production draws nearer.
The second project is a short film with the code-name "Take a Penny" (TAP). The story in TAP is actually based on a scene in "Flying Monkeys". It will be a 5-10 minute short comedy. Our hopes are to complete this short in order to share our vision for the feature with others in an effort to raise funds and support. A rough draft screenplay for TAP has been completed, and we are hoping to shoot this short film in June, 2007 in or around Lexington, Kentucky.
We would like to partner with any of you who are interested in doing so. Our biggest needs are financial support, locations, casting, equipment and crew. If you would like to discuss the possibilities of partnering with us in any of these areas, please contact us via email: info AT cubit.net
Be sure to sign up for our mailing list on the top of the page for more detailed updates. We would also appreciate it if you let others know about Cubit Productions. We've set up a MySpace page to help spread the word to others, which you can visit HERE.
Thanks to everyone out there who has supported and encouraged us along the way, we couldn't do it without you. We were amazed with the reaction and success we received with "Beneath the Mask", and are so excited to have another prjoect (or two) now in front of us. We hope you share in that excitement, and will join along with us in this new journey.
